Border Security Officer BSF, is the first border defence Force of India. BSF Also comes under the five central Armed Police Forces in the Union of India. What is the Role of BSF During War & Peace?
The main role of bsf during war is to hold the ground in the assigned sectors. Actions against enemy forces during war time. However, bsf also maintains the law & order in enemy region under the Army’s Control. They also guard the prisons of the war camps & acts as a guard for Indian Army on Indian Borders. BSF also performs the special tasks assigned to them with intelligence including raids.
During Peacetime BSF organizes security camps for the people living in the border areas. BSF also controls the trans-border crimes, unauthorized entry & exit from the Indian Borders. Controlling smuggling & other illegal activities also comes under the bsf duties during peacetime. Collecting trans-border intelligence is another highlighting work of the border security force.
