Institute of Banking Personnel Selection has been held the Probationary officer/Management Trainee CWE-VIII Exam on 13, 14 & 20, 21 October 2018. So now candidates are looking for the syllabus of IBPS PO/MT syllabus 2018 for Prelim & Main Exams.

IBPS PO/MT Syllabus Update 2018

Like every year IBPS PO Main exam will have 4 sections with a total score of 200 marks. Candidates have to complete the entire question paper in the given time frame which is 3 hours. Latest Update – The number of question asked in IBPS PO Main exam has been reduced to 155.

A fresh update also indicated that for the selection of candidates on the post of probationary officer the IBPS Board has included a Descriptive paper in the IBPS PO Main Examination.

The time frame of completing the multiple section has also been changes. In addition to that number of questions and maximum marks criteria’s are also changed. In this year IBPS PO Exams you will not see the section for Computer Applications.

Reasoning section has been grouped up with Computer Aptitude section which will comprise of 45 questions carrying a total of 60 marks that needs to be completed within 60 minutes.

IBPS PO Syllabus Negative Marking 2018

Negative Marketing is applicable on every wrong answer in the objective test of Preliminary and Mains exams. A total of 0.25 Marks will be deducted from your overall marks on every wrong answer. If a candidate want he/she can skip the question. There is no negative marking on leaving a question.

How scores are calculated in IBPS PO exams?

Marks scored by the candidate in the Preliminary Exam will not be considered in the final score. These are only taken into account to qualify IBPS PO Mains Exam.

Candidates need to qualify Mains exam and Interview individually to qualify for the final round.

The ratio of marks between CWE Main exam and interview for final merit list should be reach up to 80:20 respectively. The total of 100 marks is used for the final merit list for each category. Candidates with high merit rank in each category are finally selected.

IBPS PO/MT Interview 2018?

The interview carries a total of 100 marks with it. Candidates who cleared the IBPS Mains Exam can appear for the final Interview round. Candidates need to score at least 40% marks in the interview for general category & 35% marks for SC/ST/OBC/PWD to clear the Interview round. The interview round is off more than 15 to 20 minutes.

The Interview taking team is the combination of bank officials who asks questions to the candidates about themselves, banking sector, current affairs, general awareness, etc. You should be well-dressed, confident. Remember to carry all required documents in the interview.

The merit list is the total marks obtained in main examination and interview. IBPS work out final score with the weightage of marks given to the main examination and interview in the ratio of 80:20 respectively.
